The clean, subtle and elegant forms were the conceptual line of Marc du Plantier, an essential decorator of the international high bourgeoisie. His furniture, tapestries and curtains adorned luxurious mansions in Paris, Mexico City, Madrid and Beirut. Although Plantier's recognition did not come during his lifetime, the serene and luxurious majesty of his creations made him one of the benchmarks of modern design. The sofa in question is determined by pure lines and right angles. Raised on four stipe legs, it has a carved and gilded wooden structure and fine greenish upholstery.
