Description
A hand carved, nine panel wood, gold-leafed Chinese screen. Said to be rosewood on sales receipt, however, we can not guarantee that. The panels depict court figures and courtyard scenes from Ch'ien Lung period, probably 19th century China, 1860-80. Measures 59 inches tall, each panel is 10.625 inches in width. Very deep carving and fine detail. The hinges are replaced. This screen was purchased from Bryan and Scott Jewelers, Ltd., Colorado Springs, Colorado, May 19, 2000 for $8,000 US.
