Central Asia, Afghanistan, Kingdom of Kabul, Kabul Shahis / Hindu Shahi Dynasty, ca. 9th to 10th century CE. A lovely pair of silver drachms from the Hindu / Kabul Shahi dynasty, each set in an elaborate, high-quality silver ring likely from the 19th or 20th century. Both coins display an obverse of a bull and a reverse of a horseman with the reverse serving as the outward face of the ring. The larger ring setting features applied silver wire decoration of stippled, undulating, and foliate motifs, while the more petite ring is adorned with floral and spiral relief motifs. Size of larger ring exterior: 1" Diameter (2.5 cm); of larger bezel: 0.9" Diameter (2.3 cm); US ring size: larger: 4.5, more petite: 8.25; quality of silver: larger ring: 95.5%, coin of larger ring: 95.5%, more petite ring: 87%, coin of more petite ring: 96.4%; total weight: 25.2 grams

Condition
Both are ancient coins set in 19th or 20th-century rings to be wearable. Rims of coins are not visible, but coins appear to be in good to very good condition with areas of rubbing and detail loss as shown. Otherwise, both are intact, excellent, and wearable with rich patina to ring settings.
