Attributed to Wedgwood, Staffordshire, a Portland blue dip jasperware and basket weave pitcher, mid-19th century, the underside struck "6 x" and with incised number "297" the neck and spout in blue dip with white acanthus spandrels and classical figures after Flaxman, the body in a glazed basket weave pattern. 8.5" H x 7.25" W x 6" D. Note: possibly an experimental model by Wedgwood, not recorded as produced.
