Ancient Indian Chandraketugarh Redware Jar, 2nd c. B.C. West Bengal, North Eastern India. Thermoluminescence tested. The terracotta vessel with rounded base tapering toward the neck, with an everted rim, decorated around the form in relief with female figures riding crocodiles, with attendant female figures with hands in the crocodile's mouths and behind the tails, over a relief banded pattern of floral motifs, the neck molded with bands of flowerheads, the rim molded with ducks. With fitted base. Provenance: Dalton Somare, Milan, IT. With signed certificate.
