mid-19th century, the superstructure fitted with two rounded cupboards, each centered with a carved foliate portrait shield, opening to a shelf and two small drawers, flanking a lower section fitted with three small drawers, the central one with rose carving, all with annulated edging, above a shaped top featuring a finely inlaid scrolling foliate medallion, above a conforming frieze fitted with a pull-out leather-inset writing slide over a single drawer, raised on foliate-carved dolphin supports and a tambour cupboard back, the whole raised on a shaped base.
