late 19th century
Depicting a waterside mountainous landscape with two figures walking on the shore.
H: 7 1/4, W: 4 3/4 in.
H: 18.41, W: 12.06 cm. (plaque)
Provenance: Estate of Yip Hon (1904-1997). Nicknamed Kwai Wong (translated as Ghost King), Yip Hon was a gambling tycoon in South China. He amassed great wealth in the casinos there through his technique of listening dice, eventually opening his own casino.

Plaque overall good condition. Frame with one detached corner, one repaired corner. Stand with one detached leg. Plaque not examined outside frame. Overall dimensions: H: 12, W: 6 5/8 in. (H: 30.48, W: 16.83 cm.)
