Lot of 2 books. Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) (American, 1835-1910). The Gilded Age, A Tale of To-Day, by Mark Twain and Charles Dudley Warner, with illustrations by Hoppin, Stephens, Williams, White, Etc., Etc. First edition, American Publishing Company, Hartford, 1874; with Mark Twain's America, Bernard DeVoto, Little, Brown, and Company, Boston, 1932. The Gilded Age wear to spine and edges, wear and scratches to front and back boards, corners bumped, losses to leather on spine, binding separating, front endpaper detached, foxing and discoloration to pages throughout; DeVoto dust jacket torn throughout and front and rear flaps separated, corners bumped, some fraying to spine and corners, minor discoloration to pages.
