The pair of circa 1920 bookends after the work of Pennsylvania sculptor Salvatore Moriani are crafted in thick patinated bronze clad to terra cotta or pottery in considerable detail. The sculptures have the artist's signature molded back side, bookends of this type usually date to the 1920s.
Measure 7.75 inches high.
