Cai Wenzhi born in Huanggang County, Hubei Province (Xinzhou District, Wuhan City). Graduated from the ninth period of the Whampoa Military Academy and the thirteenth period of the Army University. Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army.

ARTIST BIO:

Tian Shiguang 田世光 (1916 - 1999) was a Beijing native, living all his life in Liulang village, Haidian District. In 1933, he enrolled in the Jinghua Art Institute in Peiping, studying flower-and-bird painting. From 1937, he worked as a researcher in the Beijing Antiquities Bureau. After the founding of the People's Republic, he taught at both the Central Art Academy and the Academy of Arts and Crafts.

Tian is best known for his flower-and-bird paintings, some of which have been included in the collection of the China Art Gallery.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (paper or silk), regardless from any major damages; includes light blooms, discoloration and minor fading. Consider normal due to the ages. Frame with normal anomalies in nature, sign of stressed surface, minor scratch & dents. Surface traced wear and or declined to gilding. Normal, consider ages and wear.
