Height: 17" Width: 14 1/2" Depth: 8" Duck press authenticated by The Rice Historical Society, "Remember the Rice," framed, accompanies the present lot, 17 1/2" x 26 1/2"; Portfolio Management of Texas, Private Auction, Lot 36, June 17, 1978; Historic Rice Hotel, Kitchen, Houston, Texas. "For pressing juices from all fowls, wild ducks especially. Heavy gray iron,nickel plated. Gives just as good and even better service than the costly imported ones. Easily operated and cleaned. Ht. 17 in.," an excerpt from the General Catalog of Equipment Furnishing and Supplies for Hotels, Restaurants, Clubs and Institutions Catalogue, 1926.
Condition
Oxidation throughout, loss of plating, with apparent wear and age, no apparent repairs.
