Description
A TABLE LAMP WITH FROSTED GLASS FIGURE OF A MAIDEN, PROBABLY BACCARAT, 20TH CENTURY, frosted glass central figure on a black wooden stand, with metal support rod for cord and metal fittings for bulb, with black cloth shade. Height: 29" Width: 10 1/2" Depth: 10 1/2" Provenance: Collection of Gerald Peeples, Houston, Texas.
Condition
The piece is attributed as a fragment of an original Baccarat candelabra. There are small chips and losses in the glass both above the figure's head and below the feet where the glass is attached to the rest of the lamp. No visible losses within the figure but there are some soft scratches (figure's right cheek). The black stand has signs of rubbing and wear some losses and scratches in the paint.
