Description
VERY EARLY MALLARD PAIR, Midwest, unknow carver. Very good original paint with in-use wear, consistent with age. Very good structural condition. Hen with 1 1/4 inch sliver missing from underside of bill. Hen's tight neck cracks secured with nail. Hollow construction. Both with carved wing separation. Drake with paint chip sliver to back and paint rub to tail. Both with alert high heads. Both retain tack eyes. Overall length of both is approximately 13 3/4 inches. A very fine pair of early mallards. 900-1200
