ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 416 Rigby S# R0610. These great rifles have become a world standard. This rifle has 24" medium weight barrel fitted with quarter rib holding one standing leaf express rear sight, sleeved on sling eye and front sight ramp holding gold bead with flip up white night bead. Caliber is marked on left rear. Model 76 magnum action has makers markings on left side, features model 70 type safety, drop box bottom metal and hinged floor plate with release button in trigger guard bow. Capped pistol grip stock of very nicely veined European walnut measures 13 3/4" over black "Dakota" pad. Stock features small swept shadow line right hand cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, steel grip cap, two recoil bolts and well cut point pattern checkering. Action is fitted with ERA type QD scope bases and rings. CONDITION: fine, showing limited field use. Metal has some scratches and shows some light rusting with subsequent cleaning. Bolt knob somewhat silvered as are some high edges. Stock has a fair number of light marks in its original finish with two fairly deep digs at front of forend checkering. Bore is bright and shiny.
