Cook, the winner of American Idol season 7 in 2008 released his debut with the hit "The Time of My Life", which rose to #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and #2 on the Canadian chart. Other top 20 tracks included "Light On" and "Come Back To Me". The album reached #3 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart, #11 in Canada and sold well in several other markets as well, especially in Japan and Finland.

Detailed Item Description: This RIAA Platinum award is a first presentation award that would have been manufactured in 2009, making it about 14 years old. It is presented to Pete Ganbarg, who has held various executive roles in the music industry including President of A&R at Atlantic Records and President of ATCO Records, among others.

This award is in VG condition with only very minor mars on the frame and plexiglass and some very minor pitting on the platinum record. The award is all original complete with Ill-Eagle Enterprises manufacturer sticker.

Notes on the condition of all vintage RIAA awards like this one: Please do not buy this item if you want a brand new piece of memorabilia. These are historical artifacts from the year they were produced. As a result they may show signs of wear. Frankly, if you see a 20 to 50-year-old award purported to be in 100% perfect condition, it might be too good to be true. After all, an antique should have "good' wear. If not, you might want to question the piece.
