Nobuyoshi Araki (born May 25, 1940) is a Japanese photographer known for his provocative and often controversial work. He began his career as a commercial photographer in the 1960s before turning to fine art photography in the 1970s.Araki's work often explores themes of sexuality, eroticism, and death, and frequently features explicit and graphic imagery. He is particularly known for his photographs of women, which often depict them in bondage or suggestive poses.
