Jane Teiko Oka (American 20th/21st C) signed and titled. Gouache on paper. Jane Teiko Oka was a San Francisco Art Institute Graduate and a Fulbright Scholar. Working in San Francisco from 1950's she was recognized as a fine artist and a graphicdesigner. Her poster designs came to symbolize the art of the 1960's and 70's, like her poster from the "12 signed of the Zodiac" series featured in Woody Allen movie Sleeper. Jane herself witnessed her influence on pop culture when shesaw a Volkswagen hippie bus drive by with her Virgo poster design painted on it. Her graphic design work was published by Patterson & Hall and Portal Publications. Her many clients included Japan Airlines. She illustrated covers for San2Francisco Magazine.
