Old Kingdom, ca. 2686-2160 BC. This cone-shaped bowl, expertly carved from alabaster, boasts a wide opening, circular and flat base, and delicate earthy deposits. Alabaster was a highly prized material in ancient Egypt, revered for its translucent quality and ability to capture and refract light in a truly beautiful way.
