Description
Pierre-Joseph Redoute (Beligan, 1759-1840). Botanical lithograph depicting a white daffodil or "Narcissus Poeticus/Narcisse des Poetes" flower. Signed in plate along the lower left; titled in plate along the lower center; "Langlois sculp." along the lower right. The flower has many alternate names including the poet's daffodil, poet's narcissus, nargis, pheasant's eye, findern flower or pinkster lily. With a large sheet of text in a sleeve affixed to the verso.

Condition
There are no visible rips, losses, or restorations. The sheet is lightly toned and there is undulation to the sheet. Slight handling marks visible throughout. A few small spots of soiling - most visible along the upper right corner and the lower left quadrant. Light wear to the frame; framed under plexiglass; not inspected out of frame. The sheet of text is toned; wear along the edges; areas of soiling throughout.
