Description
Russian silver niello cigarette case with an applied imperial seal. Decorated throughout with scrollwork. Impressed in three places along the interior with a maker's mark, possibly Nikolay Kemper, and a kokoshnik.

Condition
The case opens and shuts firmly and smoothly. Light scratches and wear throughout consistent with age and use. There is an area along one side that would have held something used to strike the matches which is now missing. This area is hinged and opens and shuts firmly and smoothly. All stones along the eagle are present and attached. Light wear to the interior as well as some pen inscriptions.
