Pair of Classical Mahogany and Stone Pier Tables,
possibly Emmons and Archbald, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1820-1825.
Egyptian marble top over an ogee frieze, on scrolled stone frontal supports and a rear mirrored base panel flanked by stone pilasters with ormolu capitals and bases, all on shaped square feet, original surface, 106cm wide, 48cm deep, 91cm high (42 1/4in wide, 19 5/8in deep, 36 1/2in high).

Henry Oscar Houghton (1823-1895), to Rosamond Houghton Whitney (1894-1969), to the present descendant.

Loss of marble to the rear right-hand corner of one table, the break 5 inches by two inches.
