Gilding on most surfaces shows signs of loss, particularly on the rims of the teacups. Flaws caused by the firing and glazing process are present to varying degrees. There are scratches and staining on the bottom rim of all pieces. One salad plate has a hairline crack. One egg holder has a broken handle, but the broken piece is present and could be repaired. One teacup has a minor hairline crack. There are losses of glaze on the interior walls of the serving bowls. One graduated oval platter has a crack measuring approximately 5 inches long, and is chipped at the rim with losses on the rim of the base. Many pieces are inscribed by hand in ceramic on the bottom.
