A LATE 19TH CENTURY INDIAN RUBY, DIAMOND AND PEARL NECKLACE Composed of a series of foiled closed-back rose-cut diamonds and ruby cabochons, suspending a fringe of further similarly-cut diamonds and rubies accented by seed pearls and ruby beads, the reverse entirely decorated with red, white, green and blue enamel, to a later gold chain, mounted in 16K gold, length 37.3cm
Condition
Diamonds: foiled back - bright and lively
Rubies: Purplish-red
Seed pearls: white tint, good lustre
Minor enamel loss on the reverse due to normal wear - and age
Metal tested by jewellery department, possibly in the region of 16K gold
