Large Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Tripod Censer Ritual Vessel - c. 19th century. A very large cloisonne and brass covered incense burner with cloisonne enamels featuring pond flora motifs. The vessel sits on tripod legs issuing from figural foo lion heads that termiate in a foot decorated with a meandering pattern. Upright handles at sides of globular body and a cover with a finial with a gilt dragon in relief. The underside of the vessel is decorated with a radiating Ying and Yang symbol. 25 1/2" h x 20" w. Condition: Some age appropriate signs of usewear including some areas of enamel loss, old repairs, and some roughages to the brass curls of one of the foo dog legs.
