A Three-Fold Japanese Screen, in Kano School style, depicting Manchurian Cranes amid reeds with pine clad hills beyond, all on a gold ground, spurious signature to one corner, brocaded silk border and within a black lacquered support, each panel approximately 172cms by 63cms, the reverse with a Rimpa School moonlit scene, early 19th Century
Condition
This is, effectively, half a six-fold screen. The signature has been (much) later added.Holes and general wear. Silk border severly degenerated
