Annie Leibovitz is an American photographer known for her iconic portraits of celebrities, politicians, and other public figures. She was born on October 2, 1949, in Waterbury, Connecticut, and grew up in a military family.
Leibovitz began her career as a staff photographer for Rolling Stone magazine in 1970, where she became known for her candid and intimate portraits of musicians such as The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. In 1983, she joined Vanity Fair magazine as a contributing photographer, where she continued to produce striking and influential images of celebrities and other famous people.
