Description
This is a Canon City and Cripple Creek Electric Railway Company $1,000 mortgage bond complete with all 60 coupons, payable on January 1 and July 1, through 1928. This railroad ran from Canon City to a junction with the Florence & Cripple Creek at Oro Junta, CO, about 7 miles north of Florence. However, investors would be disappointed when the line would be abandoned in 1915, much as almost simultaneously happened with the remainder of the F&CC. This is an extremely rare certificate, especially being complete with coupons, and all 3 pages connected. Excellent condition. One fold at the center. Only three of these are known.
