Description
A rare and impressively decorated Spanish colonial silver bowl, likely originating from Guatemala. Chased lobed decoration to the body with a band of foliate scrolling and wildlife at the rim. An unusual array of animals including elephant, armadillo, and birds. Hallmarks to base illegible however one appears to be a crown likely representing Guatemala. Areas of dents, indentations surface scratches throughout. 7 3/4" total length 208g
