This is a short version of The Brockhaus and Efron Encyclopedic Dictionary, Russian: Entsiklopedicheskiy slovar' Brokgauza I Yefrona, a comprehensive multi-volume encyclopedia in Russian published in Imperial Russia in the late 19th and early 20th century as a joint venture of Leipzig and St. Petersburg publishers.
