Anthony Padovano (American,1933- ) Bronze Sculpture. Abstract bronze sculpture with black patina or painted black. Untitled. Inscribed Padovano 2000. The consignor acquired the sculpture directly from the artist. Measures 10 inches high, 12.5 inches wide. In good condition.
From the artists website Anthonypadovano.com: Anthony Padovano (1933- ) is a sculptor who works in stone and metal creating figurative and abstract sculptures. He is the sculptor of monumental works that are in locations around the United States. He is the author of The Process of Sculpture. His styles are reminiscent of the classical carvings of Greek and Roman sculpture, renaissance sculptor Michelangelo and the modern sculptors Henry Moore, David Smith and Anthony Caro. He has taught sculpture at a number of schools including most as a professor at Kingsborough Community College.
