The Halsingborgs Hamn harbor office was designed in the early 1950s by architect Mogens Mogensen and featured furnishings by Frankins Mobler of Helsingborg, Sweden. This rare armchair was used in the office and bears a company inventory label to the underside.

Brass label to underside 'Halsingborgs Hamn No. 876'.

Provenance: Halsingborgs Hamn harbor office, Helsingborg, Sweden | Private Collection

This work will ship from Chicago, Illinois.

Condition

Very good condition. Chair appears to be all original with wear to finish in the form of short scratches and abrasions which become more advanced to lower areas of each leg. Reverse of back rest with one vertical scuff emanating from upper edge and measuring approximately 10 inches in length. Proper front right leg with a slight amount of play while remaining stable. One small area of wear to piping along front edge of seat. Please note this work may require the buyer to obtain a CITES permit to export out of the United States. Due to increased scrutiny regarding the issuance of CITES certificates, we cannot guarantee an export permit will be granted.
