ERICH SCHMIDT-KESTNER (1877-1941) STUNNING BRONZE WOMAN WARRIOR ON A STALLION , SITTING ON A GREENISH MARBEL BASE ,24" TALL 13" WIDE 53 LBS , ORIGIN GERMANY FROM A SOUTH FLORIDA COLLECTORS ESTATE Erich Schmidt-Kestner was born in 1877 in Berlin. He was a German sculptor. He studied at the academies in Berlin and Düsseldorf. He received the Rome Prize and spent the years 1905-6 on a study trip to Rome. Until 1926 he was active in Berlin. In the years 1927 to 1935 he led the sculpture workshop at the School of Arts and Crafts in Königsberg. In 1935 he became a lecturer at the Higher School of Art in Kassel. He created memorials, parks, statues, and other sculptural decors of public buildings in Berlin and Konigsberg and numerous bronzes and sculptures in stone and porcelain models for the label WE ARE UNABLE TO SHIP THIS IN HOUSE EMAIL US FOR A LIST OF SHIPPERS
