Additionally signed and with a presentation inscription by radio personality and film-maker Curtis Imrie to film-maker and author Rick Schmidt, dated ”San Francisco, 1/9/76,” With Imrie‘s ownership label on the page as well. The page is also signed by Rick Schmidt, dated ”P.T., WA, 2/12/05.” Provenance: Rick Schmidt.
Stan Brakhage is considered to be one of the most important figures in 20th-century experimental film, and was a friend and collaborator of poet and film-maker James Broughton. Rick Schmidt is the author of ”Feature Filmmaking at Used Car Prices” which is considered ”The Bible” of fledgling filmmakers and has been credited with influencing filmmakers Kevin Smith, Vin Diesel, Tom DiCillo and others.
