Description
Manchukuo Imperial Army Sword, mfg. late 1930s after the 1931 invasion of Manchuria by the Japanese Imperial Army, this sword with a 26" slightly curved blade numbered at the right ricasso (habaki) "01179" above the Tokyo Kokura arsenal marked, at the opposite habaki are Japanese characters, the back strap of the tsuka hilt with crossed flags, a wire wrapped ray-skin handle, overall the sword is approx. 33"l, the sword housed in the original scabbard also bearing the number 01179 and the Kokura Arsenal mark at the drag, overall including scabbard: 35.5"l, 2.65lbs Start Price: $150.00
