Paris: Librairie Hachette, (1907). First and limited French edition, #175/250 numbered copies, signed by Rackham (from a total edition of 270). 4to. (viii), (168), pp. Illustrated with color frontispiece and 12 color plates, all tipped-in and all with captioned tissue guards, and numerous in-text black and white illustrations, mild dampstaining to top edge of brown paper under "La Tortue" color plate. Three-quarter yellow goatskin over green cloth-covered boards, some soiling, stamped in gilt, red and green morocco spine labels; top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed; old bookseller's ticket on rear paste-down; book-plate sellotaped to front free endpaper; scattered foxing, offsetting to tissue guards and pages opposite heavy brown paper, as usual. Of the English, American, and French deluxe editions, only the French one was signed by Rackham.
