(Japan, 1930s) A rare Mickey Mouse Jack-In-The-Box toy. The toy was manufactured in Japan in the 1930s. The 3.75" tall cardboard box has a front panel that folds down and an inner lid that pops open to reveal a painted composition Mickey that has an actual animal fur collar. This is attached to an accordion spring mechanism and produces a squeaking sound. The box is in good condition with chips and expected wear. The Mickey has paint wear but functions and presents well. A very scarce toy.
