Beautiful French lamp/sculpture by Charles Ruchot and Le verre Francais (made in the early 1900s).
Jean Charles Ruchot was a French sculptor (1880-1925).
He was the first to make bronze and stone sculptures in academic style. Later, influenced by Art Nouveau, he used zamak/spelter .
The name of the sculpture is ‘La couvée’, as shown in the plaque on the pedestal.
Its height is about 48 cm, and its base has a 14 cm diameter.
The spelter sculpture is in bronze colour, with coloured parts.
The glass shade of the flower bell is glazed with a marble effect.
Good condition - used with small signs of aging & blemishes
