Description
Rare 1922 Baccarat (no 286) for Myrurgia Hindustan clear crystal bottle, gilded faceted stopper, perfect label, with ivory colored paper box. *This design was created in 1915 for Bichara perfumes, but re-used in 1922 by Myrurgia. The detailed label was the reproduction of a painting by Eduard Jener (1882-1967), a Spanish artist who designed labels and advertising images for Myrurgia. The image represents the Russian ballet dancer, Vaslav Nijinsky, dancing in one of his magnificent costumes, designed by Leon Bakst, in the middle of a stage decor representing an exotic place, Hindustan, at sunrise, decor also designed by Leon Bakst. Hindustan was the Persian name for India. The Hindustan perfume was in production for a very short time. 5 in.
