Rare 1930s Borsari Notte Romana (Roman Night) clear frost perfume bottle in two sections, inner stopper, aged name label features three columns, (tiny side edge chip). Domed box of glazed copper colored paper, with applied 3-dimensional image of three columns. *The three columns of Rome stand in the Forum and are an important part of Roman history. The Temple of Castor and Pollux was built 495 B.C. constructed of white marble with eight Corinthian columns on the short sides and eleven on the long sides, consisting of 25 chambers. During the imperial period it was a depository for the State treasury. What remains are the three graceful columns surmounted by an entablature with a plain frieze. 3 1/2 in.
