Other Notes: This lot is sold together with a letter from Svetlana Nenov, an expert in fine Russian art, signed in ink and dated October 14, 1981, and with the red ink stamp of the gallery. The letter contains background information about the piece in this lot.

Visual: Overall good condition. Dust accumulation and grime commensurate with age. Varnish discoloration. Delicate craquelure scattered throughout. Pinhead-sized or smaller scattered areas of pigment loss, mostly in the outer edges. Various cracks in the wood, the largest measuring 5" vertically through the center. Areas of surface in-filling and re-painting scattered throughout. Scuffs, scratches, tarnishing, and darkening to the silver-plated frame.

Blacklight: Possible areas of touch-up. Difficult to read under heavy and uneven varnish.
