A Japanese Tadahiro Wakizashi sword
Edo Period (1603-1867), Kanbun Era (1661-1673)
Signed to the tang in Japanese characters: Omi Daijo Fujiwara Tadahiro; further marked for: 1640
With a medallion-shaped bronze tsuba decorated with various insects, each with shakudo gilt eyes, a gold cord wrapped ito on the menuki, a cast gilt beetle decorated tsuka, and a gilt seppa; sheathed in a lacquered wood saya with a brown braided sageo

Condition
Overall good condition with scattered scuffs, light scratches, and oxidation commensurate with age. Blade appears to have been possibly polished at some point.
