ENGLISH HAND-PAINTED PORCELAIN ANIMAL FIGURES, LOT OF TEN, each having polychrome decorations, comprising one pair on a four-footed base depicting two standing poodles holding a bird in their mouths, five poodle examples, two sheep examples including one featuring a standing pair with tree to back, and one open-bottomed figural group depicting a shepherd watching over two sheep with dog at his side. Together with an open-bottomed figure depicting a sitting woman in 17th century attire with hat and holding a cup and saucer. Eleven pieces total. Some Staffordshire; possibly Rockingham Porcelain Factory, England. 19th century. 5 1/8" HOA.

Six undamaged; poodle pair on cobalt base having some professional restoration to base; figural group having loss to one sheep's ear, old restoration to area of applied clay, and chip wot base with associated hairline; dog pair with birds having some areas of old restoration; recumbent poodle having old, flaking restoration to base.
