Description
CHINESE ARCHAIC BRONZE BIRD "TSUN" VESSELS, PAIR, each having crested head, chest plumage, elongated tail feathers, and tall legs with feet, adorned with a thunderscroll diaper and squared spiral scrollwork, having a heavy green patina. Both birds have two sets of identical Ku-Wen charcters on the inner side of the vase. Including a copy of a 1996 appraisal, completed by Timothy W. Bolton of Newport, RI. Probably Chou Dynasty (c. 1122 BC - 256 BC). Each 9" HOA, 7 3/4" WOA, 3 3/4" DOA.

Condition
Excellent as-found condition with expected wear from age, pitting to interiors of vases.
