VICTORIAN AND EDWARDIAN ENGLISH STERLING AND SILVER-PLATED ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, comprising an Arts & Crafts silver-plated covered butter dish by Hukin & Heath of Birmingham and London, possibly designed by Dr. Christopher Dresser (British, 1834-1904), having a bark texture, dome cover with gilt fruit figural finial on leaf, dish with shallow well raised on a pedestal-type foot with folded edges, and a pair of sterling silver open salts by Robert Chandler of Birmingham with 1905 date marks having reticulated sides raised on ball feet and including cobalt blue glass liner inserts. Butter dish impressed to base with "H & H [eagle]" maker's mark over "5018 / 2", salts each impressed with "R.C" maker's marks and three hallmarks of a lion passant for sterling fineness, an anchor city mark, and a date mark. Total weight of salts without inserts: 1.315 ozt. Late 19th and early 20th century. Butter dish 5 3/4" HOA, 10 1/2" DOA rim.

Condition
Good to very good overall condition with some wear, surface scratches, and other imperfections including nicks; butter dish with spots and areas of silver loss, notably to interior cover; salts with some dents, one with spots of oxidation from salt, glass inserts with possible post-production polishing to rims.
