Description
A vintage Italian Capodimonte hand painted polychrome porcelain figurine. The figurine depicts a beggar man with a suitcase reading a letter. Circa: the first half of the 20th century. Mark with a black ink mark, and a Made in Italy mark, on the bottom. Capodimonte porcelain is porcelain created by the Capodimonte porcelain manufactory, which operated in Naples, Italy, between 1743 and 1759. Capodimonte is the most outstanding factory for early Italian porcelain, the Doccia porcelain of Florence being the other main Italian factory. Capodimonte is most famous for its moulded figurines.
