Description
KPM Royal porcelain plate of good weight and hand-painted with gilt and floral decoration, most likely part of a larger service from the Charlottenburg Palace. With orb mark, encircled eagle mark used between 1847-1849 and the Royal cypher for Frederick William IV, King of Prussia. Literature: cf. Kllmann, Erich and Jarchow, Margarete, Berliner Porzellan, Munich 1987, p. 444, fig. 279. [9 3/4 diam. inches]. Minor wear to decoration.
