Description
Set of two rods: A 7', 2/1 rod marked in black felt-tipped pen "E. L. Keyes" and "H. S. Patterson". It has resorcinol glue lines, agate tip top, and a new replacement aluminum screw down-locking reel seat. It comes with an F.E. Thomas green bag and brass-capped Thomas tube. The second is a 3/2 rod with a sheet cork handle and modern replacement aluminum reel seat. It has been redone with red wraps, snake guides and a carboloy stripper. Both tips have moderate sets while the mid has a mild set. It has a white canvas bag and plain tube, tape on the tube identifies the owner: "Fly Rod Henry Stimpson, Sec of Int FDR, Stimpson's widow gave it to Keyes Family, Emily K. Belt to her son, Charles". Charles Banks, was the owner of the C. F. Murphy rod (Lot 357 in this auction).
