Description

Armspear steel guard lantern with the shoulder embossed LI. R.R. on the shoulder. The last patent date on the top of the lantern appears to be 1889. Body has some minor pitting, but the twist off fount, butner pot and wick raiser are present. Red cast circus globe with LIRR cast in serif font in rectangular panel. The globe has a chip, small hole, and spider cracking near the center seam on the left side. See photos for best description.
