Description
Walter Addison, New York, 1914-1982. A grouping of 3 resting fawn sculptures, including a plaster maquette, and 2 hand painted molded clay sculptures signed Addison - one of the terra cotta dawns has an expansion crack, that appears to have occurred during firing, else all in very good condition. The largest measures 16"L x 6 3/4"W x 4"H. Provenance: Consigned by family. All artwork was found in his cottage in Washington Depot, Connecticut, on the banks of the Shepaug River, where he lived with his wife Rhoda from 1965 until his death in 1982.
