Two Companion Antique Carved Portrait Relief Panels
Deep relief carved panels in the Renaissance style, both carved with fanciful creatures and floral motifs, each centering the head of a carved male figure (sporting a typical Renaissance-style haircut, clothing and a hat), likely a section from a piece of furniture.
Purchased: June 12 1993, B.I. Howard, England. Note: original receipt from B.I. Howard stating the panels are French,16th century, circa 1540.
